Due to the high demand, in addition to my exclusive handmade damasussteel knives, there will also be a limited series production of steak knives made to my design.
This will of course happen with respect for my set values as a designer and knife smith.

Together Mark Cloet and Janna Huyghe (knife shop Artikel Nr., Ghent- Messen Huyghe) my steak knife design was reworked into a limited edition forged production knife.

Not a damasussteel knife this time, but a high-quality stainless steel knife in co-creation with the well-known company Carl Mertens, located in Solingen (the region in Germany where the best knives are produced). Just like some other large German knife makers, Carl Mertens makes kitchenware for both the professional and the hobby chef.

As an artist, Mark Cloet is steady at work with knowledge of his profession, with research and mastery of materials, with respect for craftsmanship and tradition, but is also open to new techniques and new materials.
Janna Huyghe is the daughter of a knife dealer. Parents, grandparents and great-grandparents were knife sharpeners and knife sellers, meanwhile the 4th generation. Messen Huyghe was started in the 19th century in Bruges.
In their joint project store “Article Nr.” they have reserved a nice place for a few carefully selected knife sets.
I am therefore very proud that our joint creation will be included in their collection as Article Nr. 11.

For the realization of my design I therefore get the opportunity to work together with two established values within the knife world.
